EULA — Mafkers Desktop App

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("Licensee") and Mafkers ("Licensor") for the Mafkers desktop application ("Software").

1. License Grant

Licensor grants Licensee a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the Software on up to 3 devices, subject to the terms of this EULA.

2. Permitted Use

Install and run the Software on devices you own or control
Use the Software to create translation mods for games you legally own
Make backup copies of the Software for archival purposes

3. Restrictions

Licensee shall NOT:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Software
Redistribute, sell, sublicense, or lease the Software
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Use the Software to modify games with anti-cheat protection
Use the Software to distribute copyrighted game assets
Bypass subscription or licensing mechanisms

4. Open-Source Components

The Software incorporates open-source components. Their licenses are included in the Software distribution:

Tauri v2 (MIT/Apache-2.0) — Desktop application framework
UnityPy (MIT) — Unity asset parser
repak (Apache-2.0) — Unreal Engine .pak tool
pylocres (MIT) — Unreal .locres parser
godotpcktool (MIT) — Godot .pck tool
GARbro (MIT) — Visual novel archive extractor
RPGMTL (MIT) — RPG Maker translation tool

GPL-licensed tools (AssetRipper, FModel, unrpa) are called as separate subprocesses and are not linked to the Software.

5. Auto-Update Consent

The Software will automatically check for updates and install them when available. Updates are signed with Ed25519 signatures for security. By using the Software, you consent to automatic updates.

6. Telemetry Consent

The Software may collect anonymous telemetry data (crash reports, usage metrics) to improve the Service. Telemetry is opt-in and can be disabled in Settings.

7. Game Content

The Software processes game files locally on your device. The Licensor does NOT store, transmit, or have access to your game content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to modify the games you process.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. The Licensor does not warrant that:

The Software will meet your requirements
The Software will operate without errors
Game modifications will not cause issues
All game engines will be supported

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, GAME CORRUPTION, OR ACCOUNT BANS.

10. Termination

This EULA terminates automatically if you violate any term. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software.

11. Governing Law

This EULA is governed by the laws of Indonesia.
